Manager’s Idea Turns Into Non-Profit Supporting The Community

Shar Giard, managing broker of our Sunset Corridor branch, wears many hats. In addition to managing a successful real estate office and being the chair of the RE/MAX Equity Group Foundation, she also serves as the school board chair of the Centennial School District. And it was in that role that she had an idea for helping her local community – what about turning an old school bus into a food pantry?

Shar was invited to pitch her idea to Centennial’s Future Business Leaders of America students, and three years later the Food for Families┬áthrives, having helped feed more than 2,500 families.

Read more about how Shar’s idea became a reality.

It is this kind of dedication to service and excellence that makes RE/MAX Equity Group agents, managers, and staff stand above the crowd. We are so proud of Shar’s work for us and for our communities.
