Southwest Washington saw some cooler activity this December, but a gain was made in new listings. New listings outpaced December 2016 by 2.7%, despite a 35.7% decrease compared to last month in November 2017.
Activity cooled a bit in 2017 compared to 2016. Comparing both years, closed sales decreased 1.2%, new listings decreased 1.6%, and pending sales decreased 3.5%.
Comparing 2017 to 2016 through the end of each year, the average sale price rose 10.5% from $328,600 to $363,200. In the same comparison, the median sale price rose 12.6% from $290,000 to $326,500.
