New listings saw the sole gain in Southwest Washington this month. At 958, new listings fared 7.2% better than in September 2016 (894), despite a 14.8% decrease from last month in August 2017.
Inventory increased to 2.2 months in September, the first time since January 2017 that inventory has risen above 2 months.
Comparing 2017 to 2016 through September of each year, the average sale price rose 10.9% from $325,100 to $360,400. In the same comparison, the median sale price rose 12.7% from $288,500 to $325,000.
